Culinary Alm

At the Almdorf there are many places to enjoy Carinthian and fine Austrian cuisine made from the best local products.

In your Alm hut, your hunting lodge or chalet – your culinary wishes are served by your village host right in your cabin. Be it an excellent breakfast served at a specific time, a typical rustic lunch or local dinner, a perfect roast or a typical “Pancake” prepared on your stove. You may also select an excellent menu from the super-extensive "room service menu". Preorder any of the 460 Carinthian dishes.

In the Restaurant Fellacher - from fresh "Vogerlsalat" to special Carinthian cheese pasta or medium grilled deer medallions or freshly prepared and tempting “Kaiserschmarrn”. The cozy restaurant awaits you with fine regional cooking from 6 pm - during summer also at the sun terrace.

In the „Holzknechthütte“ - a visit to the “Holzknechthütte”, the smallest restaurant in the world, is something very special. No more than four people can be accommodated in this special place high above the valley.

In the wine cellar – the highlight of the day with a fine menu prepared by the chef in an intimate atmosphere. Enjoy your dinner and great wines alone, as a couple or in company with up to six persons.

At the Alpine picnic – during summer you can experience the virgin nature of the Nockberge National Park with a classic Alpine picnic. An “Almdorf Picnic Kraxe” (a wooden “backpack”) is ready-packed with all the goodies you need for an enjoyable picnic day.
